Merry-Go-Round

Every now and then I see a light shine in my eyes
and it's so bright I just can't see exactly what I'm looking for
Could it be it's time for travelin' on, see things from the other side
Get it down the road a ways, move it down the line

Sometimes I get lonely and sometimes I'm not sure
if it's sorrow or it's sadness, or maybe I'm just board
It's hard to tell in this day and age, when everybody's movin' fast
I can't keep up to what's been coming down

I'm just riding along on this merry-go-round
We call life!
I'm just riding along on this merry-go-round

If we ever meet again can I say I love you then
without you thinking I'm just trying to get into your pants
You used to take it all so seriously, leave me in the cold
to be shivering and a shaking in my soul

And I could hear the rain a falling, wind a blowing
Jesus calling, voices saying words I never thought I'd hear before
A slamming door, a baby cry, a whisper and a lie
I thought that I was lost and now I think I'm found

I'm just riding along on this merry-go-round
We call life!
I'm just riding along on this merry-go-round
